MMA Betting Odds and Ends for Friday: UFC Sweden II, UFC 159 Cards Get New Fights

UFC-Sweden The UFC has been busy booking new fights all week long, and Friday was no exception as three more bouts have been reported today. According to Swedish website MMAnytt.com, lightweights Reza Madadi and Michael Johnson are set to clash at UFC on FUEL TV 9, which takes place April 6 at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. Both fighters are coming off of disappointing decision losses in their last bouts to Cristiano Marcello and Myles Jury, respectively, and look to change their fortunes by getting back on the winning track this spring. As well, the UFC also booked a welterweight matchup between Adlan Amagov and Chris Spang, who are both coming over from Strikeforce. AftonBladet.se was the first to report the bout between the two prospects, who are each coing off of TKO wins in Strikeforce. And finally, Newsday reports a light heavyweight bout between former Strikeforce fighters Ovince St-Preux and Gian Villante has been booked for UFC 159, which takes place April 27 in Newark, New Jersey. It will be both fighters’ UFC debuts so look for both fighters to have a solid training camp in hopes of impressing their new bosses later this spring. Invicta Books Kaufman vs. Smith, Nunes vs. Young Invicta FC has announced new fights for its upcoming Invicta FC 5 card, which takes place in April at location TBA. The most important is a bantamweight matchup between Sarah Kaufman, who will be making her Invicta debut after a solid run in Strikeforce, and Leslie Smith, who trains with Nick and Nate Diaz at Team Cesar Gracie. As well, the promotion announced that Amanda Nunes will take on Kaitlin Young.
