UFC Heavyweight Shawn Jordan: ‘I’d like to fight legends like Nogueira, Mir or Overeem’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with recently victorious UFC Heavyweight Shawn Jordan in the fallout of his recent second round hook kick knockout of Derrick Lewis last month at UFC Fight Night 68.

The talented former LSU fullback feels he’s ready for that big step up into a top 10 opponent or at least a very notable heavyweight for his next fight:

“Right now, the way the division is  set up, it’s so tight. They are giving guys like me who are on the cusp a chance to fight legends at heavyweight. For me, this is completely out of respect, some are bad kinda match-ups, some aren’t. The legend type guys like Nogueira or Mir or Overeem. Those are the type of fights I want. Those are the type of measuring stick kinda fights to see if you’re ready to fight that level of guy. They’re kind of in the middle ground between champions and the top 10. Any of those guys would be great for me.”
