UFC 187 Date: May 23, 2015 Arena: MGM Grand Garden Arena City: Las Vegas, NV UFC 187 will be live from Las Vegas, NV this Saturday night (May 23, 2015) with a stacked 12-fight card, including a five fight main card that will be live on Pay-Per-View at 8pm ET, with preliminary action preciding it on FOX Sports 1 at 7pm ET and UFC Fight Pass at 6:30pm ET prior to that. If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any other plays for this PPV fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are a pair of three-way of parlays for UFC 187: Middleweight title bout: Chris Weidman (-525) vs Vitor Belfort (+415) Gabe’s Thoughts: I believe Weidman is the superior mixed martial artist and has advantages everywhere. I see him outboxing Belfort in this contest, but especially outwrestling him and raining down heavy ground and pound, which will ultimately lead to either a T/KO stoppage or a submission. One way or the other, I see the Champion succesfully defending his title on Saturday night. Gabe’s Call: Weidman by Submission (D’Arce choke, 3:04 round 3) Welterweight bout: Colby Covington (-270) vs Mike Pyle (+230) Gabe’s Thoughts: Pyle is past his prime and has fallen down to the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card, after competing in a co-main event in his last bout. He has a history of underperforming against young, talented up-and-coming prospects, and I think history will repeat itself here. I see this match-up playing out similarly to Pyle’s against Rory MacDonald, with Covington outwrestling Pyle and eventually securing the T/KO victory via ground and pound. Pyle is playing the role of “gatekeeper” in this contest, and I think American Top Team’s Covington is going to get right through, proving he is a legitimate contender at 170-pounds. Gabe’s Call: Covington by T/KO (punches, 3:40 round 1) Lightweight bout: Islam Makhachev (-325) vs Leo Kuntz (+260) Gabe’s Thoughts: Both fighters are making their promotional debuts, while dropping down from the welterweight division down to 155-pounds for this contest. As long as Octagon jitters don’t play too big a factor, I see Makhachev completely having his way with Kuntz. He is the superior fighter of the two and I think he will dominate the action, and I favor him to get the stoppage, either by T/KO or submission. Gabe’s Call: Makhachev by Submission (rear naked choke, 3:10 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Parlays: 1) Weidman (-525), Covington (-270) and Makhachev (-320) at +114 for 4u to win 4.56u and 2) Weidman (-525), Covington (-270) and Makhachev/Kuntz Under 2.5 rounds (+145) at +299 for 1u to win 2.99u
