MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 137 light heavyweight Virgil Zwicker as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout tonight (May 15, 2015) against Razak Al-Hassan at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California.
The longtime veteran has a ton of confidence in himself and he feels that mental toughness will help put him over the top against the UFC veteran come fight time:
“[Razak Al-Hasan] is definitely a big boy. I actually had a chance to train with him a few years ago when he visited Sokoudjou for training. He has an intimidating look. I’m confident in my skills. I’m confident in my fighting style. I think I’ll be victorious just because of my mind and my heart. I don’t care how tough and ripped up you look, can your chin take my shots? Can you keep my relentless pressure? Can you keep me from getting up and not giving up. Can you handle that? I don’t know if he’s gonna be able to. I don’t know him like that but I know who I am. I’m a very confident individual. I’m a proud Native American and I’m not doing it for anyone else besides myself and my family.”
