Pair of Parlays for Bellator 137

Eduardo DantasBellator 137 Date: May 15, 2015 Arena: Pechanga Resort and Casino City: Temecula, CA Bellator 137 will be live from Temecula, CA tomorrow night, with the main card kicking off at 9pm ET on Spike TV and preliminary action getting going at 7pm ET at Bellator.com. If interested in wagering on this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are a pair of parlays for Bellator 137: Middleweight title bout: Brandon Halsey (-800) vs Kendall Grove (+500) Gabe’s Thoughts: Simply put, I think Halsey’s wrestling is going to prove to be too much for Grove, despite the fact that the Hawaiian has been working hard on his wrestling in preparation for this five round title fight. Even if he had the entire year to prepare, I don’t think his wrestling could get to the point where he could even become remotely competitive with Halsey. I think Halsey has his way with Grove here and ultimately secures either a T/KO or submission finish. Gabe’s Call: Halsey by Submission (rear naked choke, 2:59 round 1) Bantamweight bout: Eduardo Dantas (-205) vs Mike Richman (+165) Gabe’s Thoughts: Richman is undoubtedly a finisher, owning 16 of 18 professional mixed artial arts victories by way of finish; six out of seven of them coming inside the Bellator cage. The same could be said of Dantas, who owns 10 of his 16 professional mixed martial arts victories by way of finish, with four of six of them being in the Bellator cage. This is a solid 135-pound scrap between a pair of finishers that is likely going to leave fans pleased, regardless of the outcome. That said, while Richman has been on a nice run since dropping down to the bantmweight division, I think Dantas is too big a step up for him right now and I don’t like his chances of winning. I think he is going to be hunting for the knockout, and I don’t think he is going to find it. I think Dantas will either counter and knock him out or technically outstrike him over the course of three rounds of action to pick up the unanimous nod from the judges. I could also see Dantas using his superior grappling to take the fight to the bat and submit Richman. Aside from getting caught similar to his Brazilian regional circuit bout against Tyson Nam, I don’t see Dantas losing this bout. I think he learned his lesson from that loss, I expect him to be technical and calculated heading into this contest Friday night. Gabe’s Call: Dantas by T/KO (strikes, 1:51 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Parlays: 1) Halsey (-800) and Dantas (-205) at -149 for 3.5u to win 2.35u and 2) Halsey/Grove Under 1.5 rounds (-125) and Dantas/Richman Under 1.5 rounds (+155) at +359 for .7u to win 2.51u
