The event will feature an entirety of 12-bouts, all live on UFC Fight Pass. Preliminary action will get going at 7:45pm ET with eight bouts, and the four-fight main card will get underway at 11pm ET. Here is my main card parlay for UFC Fight Night 65 in Australia: Heavyweight bout: Mark Hunt (+175) vs Stipe Miocic (-210) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think this fight goes over the 1.5 round mark more often than not. I could see Hunt scoring an early knockout, but more often than not, if a finish were to occur, I think it would come in the later rounds when fatigue has started to set in. Miocic generally has good fight IQ so he will likely avoid Hunt’s powershots early on, and I think Hunt will be able to eat whatever Miocic dishes out, so that makes me think that chances of an early finish here are slim, which is something I normally would not say about a heavyweight fight. Gabe’s Call: Miococ by Unanimous Decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) Middleweight bout: Brad Tavares (-160) vs Robert Whitaker (+140) Gabe’s Thoughts: Tavares will have the size advantage in this bout, and I think it will benefit him over the course of three rounds, as he outstrikes Whitaker throughout the 15-minutes of action to pick up a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. I think he will put out a higher volume of strikes than Whitaker, and I see that as being his main key to victory in this contest. The Hawaiian also holds an advantage in wrestling, so I would not be surprised to see him go for the rare takedown. I could see him finishing Whitaker, but I think he is much more likely to get this done on the cards, and hopefully judges won’t get in the way.
