Five crazy prop bets is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here’s five crazy UFC On FOX 15 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Max Holloway wins by submission (+915)/Holloway wins in round 3 (+1700) In a main card featherweight fight, Max Holloway showed how good he can be as he dominated Cub Swanson and finished him in the third round with a guillotine choke. Holloway has never looked as good as this, and at only 23, it makes you wonder how much better he will get. The props on Holloway wins by submission at +915 and Holloway wins in round 3 at +1700 cashed out huge for those who put their hard-earned money on them. Gian Villante wins by TKO (+1050)/Villante wins in round 3 (+2750) In a light heavyweight bout, Gian Villante showed off his kickboxing as he was able to damage Corey Anderson for three rounds and eventually score a knockout in the last minute. It was a super-impressive performance by Villante and with the win he proved he’s a UFC-caliber fighter. The props on Villante by TKO at +1050 and Villante wins in round 3 at +2750 both cashed big time for those who bet them. Aljamain Sterling wins by submission (+520)/Sterling wins in round 3 (+1225) In a bantamweight contest, Aljamain Sterling proved he’s a top contender at 135lbs as he took out veteran Takeya Mizugaki in the third round with a beautiful arm-triangle choke from the bottom. Getting a submission like he did was super impressive, and the fact it came over a guy like Mizugaki was great to see. The props on Sterling by submission at +520 and Sterling wins in round 3 at +1225 both cashed big. Tim Means wins by submission (+874)/Means wins in round 3 (+1225) In a welterweight fight, Tim Means showed he means business at 170lbs as he absolutely demolished George Sullivan for three rounds before eventually scoring a submission late in the third round over his fatigued opponent. The props on Means by submission at +874 and Means wins in round 3 at +1225 both cashed out huge for those who believed in Means’ ground game and ability to win fights late. Chris Dempsey wins by decision (+621) And finally, in a middleweight bout that kicked off the prelims, Chris Dempsey won a close, if not controversial decision over Eddie Gordon. I scored the fight 29-28 for Gordon myself, but it’s hard to argue about the outcome of this one as it was a close fight that the judges could screw up, and of course they did. The prop on Dempsey wins by decision cashed at +621, so congrats if you took a piece.
