MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 63 lightweight Carlos Diego Ferreira about his upcoming main card bout on Saturday (April 4, 2015) against Dustin Poirier at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
The talented former Legacy FC champion is looking to bounce back from his tough last loss to Beneil Dariush, and he made some pretty drastic changes in an attempt to expedite the process:
“That loss [to Dariush] just motivated me even more, to train and find the right camp for me, to get even stronger. I found a new camp in Dallas close by my hometown. Octagon MMA helped me a lot and I see a lot of improvement in my game and right now I’m just excited to show everyone the new stuff I have in this fight. The big changes are my ground game and my stand-up. The way I did before, I worked a lot in the boxing, but this time I’m working much more on my Muay Thai and my ground, I worked more jiu-jitsu for MMA. Before, I worked Brazilian jiu-jitsu to compete. I also worked my wrestling and I have a new coach for my wrestling. There’s a lot of new things for me and I have all these people helping me out.”
