UFC Fight Night 63’s Ricardo Lamas: ‘The winner of this fight gets a title shot again’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 63 featherweight Ricardo Lamas about his upcoming main event bout on Saturday  (April 4, 2015) against Chad Mendes at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

The former title challenger has defeated nearly everyone put in front of him in the UFC’s featherweight division, and he wants another crack at the champion should he get past “Money” Mendes:

“I think that the winner of this fight, no matter what the outcome is, the winner of this fight will be the true number one contender. If you look at it on paper, my only loss in the UFC featherweight division is to Jose Aldo. Chad [Mendes’] only two losses in the UFC have been to Jose Aldo. We’re guys that have been taking out number one contenders that are on the rise up so we’re two of the best guys in the division right now as far as contenders are concerned. The winner of this fight gets a title shot again. That’s pretty much how I feel about it.”
