Five crazy prop bets is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here’s five crazy UFC 185 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Rafael dos Anjos wins by decision (+631)/dos Anjos wins by unanimous decision (+915) In the headliner of UFC 185, a huge upset took place as Rafael dos Anjos dominated Anthony Pettis on the feet and on the ground as he earned the biggest win of his career with a unanimous decision victory to take home the UFC lightweight title. Dos Anjos looked incredible in a fight where most counted him out, and he deserves to wear the belt today. The prop on dos Anjos winning by decision hit at +631 and the prop on him winning specifically via unanimous decision hit at +915. Joanna Jedrzejczyk wins in round 2 (+1300) The co-main event of UFC 185 saw Carla Esparza lose her strawweight title in brutal fashion as Joanna Jedrzejczyk knocked her out in the second round. Jedrzejczyk looked amazing in this fight and you have to wonder if there’s anyone that can beat her at this point. At +1300, the prop on Jedrzejczyk winning in round 2 cashed huge for those who bet it. Jared Rosholt wins in round 3 (+825) Not many people gave Jared Rosholt a chance to finish Josh Copeland, but that’s exactly what happened as the former wrestling champion put Copeland on his back in the third round and smashed him with punches for his first stoppage victory inside the Octagon. At +825, the prop on Rosholt wins in round 3 cashed out big time. Ryan Benoit wins by T/KO (+1275)/Benoit wins in round 2 (+1875) Trust me, I did not expect these props bets to cash, either. Entering his fight with Sergio Pettis as an underdog, not many people gave Benoit a chance against Pettis (our own Gabe Killian did, though), but Benoit shocked the world with a second-round knockout of Pettis. The American has tremendous knocked power and is not to be taken lightly going forward. For bettors who believe in him, the props on Benoit wins by T/KO at +825 and Benoit wins in round 2 at +1875 cashed handsomely. Germaine de Randamie wins in round 2 (+775) In a women’s bantamweight bout that kicked off the Fight Pass prelims, Germaine de Randamie dominated Larissa Pacheco on the feet as she was able to pick her apart in the first and then finish in brutal fashion in the second. Most figured if De Randamie won that she would do so by decision, so the inside the distance props were undervalued, including the prop on her winning in the second round at +775.
