MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Legacy FC 38 flyweight Jason Sampson as he prepares for his upcoming co-main event tomorrow night (Friday, February 13th, 2015) against Joseph Sandoval at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas.
The former Bellator veteran is in a good place mentally right now as he prepares to cut to flyweight for the first time and he feels he’s going to have several key advantages come fight time:
“I think I’m gonna stick ot the gameplan. I know he’s a boxer. He’s a stand-up guy so I’m a bad, bad, bad fight for him. My wrestling is superior over his. I’m a black belt in jiu-jitsu and I’m a huge 125-er. Making the cut is not going to be a problem because I’m doing it smart and not cutting everything at the last minute. I’m gonna be huge and he’s just gonna have to deal with it and I don’t think he’s gonna be able to deal with that pressure and I really don’t believe he’s gonna make it out of the first round.”
