Jansen has looked impressive since coming over to Bellator, going a perfect 5-0 so far. He is a grinder who comes from a good camp and decent in the standup too. He also has high-level experience from his time in the WEC. Jansen’s a well-rounded fighter and has improved a lot in a short period of time, making him a sexy pick to win the tourney. Held has a lot of hype behind him because he’s a flashy submission fighter who goes for heel hooks and kneebars and more than often gets them. He’s coming off a huge win over veteran Rich Clementi and looks to continue his momentum with another win over Jansen to win the Bellator lightweight tourney and get the rematch with champion Michael Chandler that he craves so bad. But he’ll have to get this fight to the floor, and going up against a solid wrestler in Jansen, that’s no guarantee. Adam’s Fight Prediction: Dave Jansen will be able to keep the fight standing and do enough to outpoint Held. The only way Held can win is by getting the fight to the floor but Jansen is going to be hard to take down, so Jansen is the pick here. Adam’s Pick: Dave Jansen (-165) via decision (click for latest MMA odds). Adam’s Recommended Play: I like Dave Jansen for the pick and maybe even for a small bet here because I think he just has more ways to win the fight.
