UFC 183’s Ed Herman: ‘Derek Brunson is still pretty green in the sport’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 183 middleweight Ed Herman about his upcoming preliminary card bout this Saturday night (Jan. 31, 2015) against Derek Brunson at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The crafty veteran has been competing over twice as long as Brunson and he feels his experience could be a big factor in this fight against an opponent he still feels needs some seasoning:

“[Derek Brunson’s] best attribute is definitely his wrestling and his takedowns. He’s really quick. His takedown defense is really good. He’s not all that active on the top when he does get takedowns. He’s still pretty green in the sport. He’s a big guy. He’s not a finisher. He’s gonna try to take me down and hold me down I think, or he’ll try to dance around on the outside and use his speed to kinda outpoint me.”
