UFC 182 took place Saturday night at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and overall the card provided a solid night of entertainment for the fans. Overall from a betting perspective, nine favorites and two underdogs won based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Here’s a quick recap for each fight. Favorites That Won In the main event of the evening, Jon Jones defeated Daniel Cormier via unanimous decision (49-46 x 5) to retain the UFC light heavyweight title. Jones outstruck and outwrestled Cormier in three of the five rounds to score a decision win. Jones was -205 (bet $205 to win $100) while Cormier was +188 (bet $100 to win $188). In a lightweight bout, Donald Cerrone defeated Myles Jury via unanimous decision (30-27 x 3). Cerrone was just the superior mixed martial artist and proved it by winning every round. Cerrone was -125 while Jury was +115. In a middleweight bout, Brad Tavares defeated Nate Marquardt via unanimous decision (30-27 x 3). Tavares outstruck Marquardt to get the biggest win of his career to date. Tavares was -130 while Marquardt was +120. In a flyweight bout, Kyoji Horiguchi defeated Louis Gaudinot via unanimous decision (30-27 x 2, 29-28). Horiguchi outstruck Gaudinot to easily get the win. Horiguchi was -525 while Gaudinot was +450. In a welterweight bout, Hector Lombard defeated Josh Burkman via unanimous decision (30-27 x 2, 29-28). Lombard beat Burkman up on the feet but couldn’t get the finish. Lombard was -840 while Burkman was +660. In a bantamweight bout, Cody Garbrandt defeated Marcus Brimage via third-round TKO (punches). Garbrandt outstruck Brimage over the course of nearly three rounds before finally scoring the knockout with 10 seconds left in the fight. Garbrandt was -110 while Brimage was +100. In a heavyweight bout, Shawn Jordan defeated Jared Cannonier via first-round KO (punches). Jordan clipped Cannonier with a punch behind the ear that put him down and out for the count. Jordan was -185 while Cannonier was +170. In a lightweight bout, Evan Dunham defeated Rodrigo Damm via unanimous decision (30-27 x 3). Dunham outstruck Damm in every round to easily win a decision. Dunham closed at -705 and Damm closed at +570. In a welterweight bout, Omari Akhmedov defeated Mats Nilsson via unanimous decision (29-28 x 3). Akhmedov outstruck and outwrestled Nilsson over three rounds for the decision win. Akhmedov closed at -200 while Nilsson closed at +185. Underdogs That Won In a lightweight bout, Paul Felder defeated Danny Castillo via second-round KO (spinning back fist). Felder landed a vicious knockout in the second round to get the biggest win of his career to date. Felder was +235 while Castillo was -255. In a women’s bantamweight bout, Marion Reneau defeated Alexis Dufresne via unanimous decision (30-26 x 2, 30-25). Reneau lit up a seemingly-dazed Dufresne on the feet for a clear-cut decision victory. Reneau was +200 while Dufresne was -220.
