Gabe Killian’s Two-Way Parlay for UFC on FOX 13

tuf-16-finaleUFC on FOX 13 Date: December 13, 2014 Arena: US Airways Center City: Phoenix, AZ The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to FOX this Saturday (Dec. 13, 2014) with UFC on FOX 13: dos Santos vs Miocic. The action gets going live on FOX at 8pm ET, with preliminary scraps beginning at 5pm ET on FOX Sports 1 and 3:30pm ET on UFC Fight Pass before that. If interested in making this parlay, or any other wagers for this UFC fight card, you will be able to do so at Several Bookmakerss. Here’s my two-way parlay for UFC on FOX 13 in Phoenix: Lightweight bout: Drew Dober (+270) vs Jamie Varner (-330) Gabe’s Thoughts: Varner is without a doubt the superior wrestler and mixed martial artist heading into this contest and will use his all-around skill-set to score a unanimous decision victory over Dober and bounce back into the win column, ultimately snapping a three-fight losing streak. The former WEC lightweight champion is 1-4 is his last five bouts and has his back against the wall heading into this one, but I believe he is the better fighter here and has what it takes to take the win home. I don’t see him scoring a finish, but I do see him edging Dober on the feet with his boxing, even though Dober has solid boxing of his own. Aside from outboxing Dober, I think he will also mix in takedowns and beat him up on the mat a little bit. Dober is tough and could keep this fight somewhat competitive, but aside from landing flush with a lucky knockout blow or catching Varner with a sneaky guillotine, I don’t see how he wins this fight. As long as Varner shows up hungry for a win, I believe he will earn it. Gabe’s Call: Varner by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Lightweight bout: Derek Brunson (-330) vs Ed Herman (+270) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Brunson will find success with his wrestling in this match-up, as I see him using takedowns to edge out rounds that may be closely-contested on the feet. That said, I would not be at all surprised to see him completely outwork Herman on the feet, as his striking is constantly improving with all the work he puts in. On the same note, Herman has not really been showing any improvements. He does not look to be on a decline, either, but he is just not getting any better. Brunson is. At this point in their careers, I believe Brunson is the more talented mixed martial artist, as well as the more dedicated athlete. I believe he is a justified heavy favorite in this bout and even at the current odds, I believe he’s worth playing, so I like him for the second leg of my two-way parlay for UFC on FOX 13. Gabe’s Call: Brunson by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Jamie Varner (-3300) parlayed with Derek Brunson (-330) for -142 3.45u to win 2.4u
