UFC Fight Night 57’s Joseph Benavidez: ‘Duane Ludwig is still cornering me this fight’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 57 flyweight Joseph Benavidez as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout against Dustin Ortiz this Saturday (November 22, 2014) at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

The former two-time UFC title challenger doesn’t feel he’s going to be losing too much now that Ludwig has moved on to his own gym, but instead is adding on to his own skills he’s learned:

“For me it’s good, I’m just adding on. I didn’t lose all the stuff that I worked with Duane [Ludwig]. The two months after my fight, we just worked freely every day. He’s actually still cornering me at the fight in Austin and I continue to work the stuff we learned. The last two months of my camp I didn’t have him but I continued to work his stuff and I just added on everything else. Martin Kampmann came in as everyone knows so I continued to add my knowledge so that’s only going to help you. I’m not replacing Duane’s stuff with Martin’s stuff. I’m adding on to it.”
