If interested in making this parlay, or any other wagers for this UFC fight card, you will be able to do so at Several Bookmakerss. Here’s my two-way parlay for UFC Fight Night 57 in Austin: Middleweight bout: Luke “Bigslow” Barnatt (-330) vs Roger Narvaez (+270) Gabe’s Thoughts: Maybe Narvaez will manage to win the first round, but I think that’s the best he can hope for, as I think Barnatt can survive any early onslaught and come back to win rounds two and three, largely in part due to his superior cardio. After being TKO’d by Patrick Cummins in his promotional debut, Narvaez has opted to return to the middleweight division, and Barnatt is going to be no easy welcome, especially coming off his controversial loss to Sean Strickland in his last outing. I think Barnatt’s superior technical striking and cardio are going to be the factors leading him to earning a unanimous decision victory in this match-up, and ultimately back into the win column. Gabe’s Call: Luke Barnatt by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Lightweight bout: Akbarh Arreola (+180) vs Yves Edwards (-220) Gabe’s Thoughts: To put it simply, I believe Edwards, even at this late stage in his career, is the superior mixed martial artist heading into this 155 pound contest. I think the only way he loses this fight is he gets caught flush, and while that is certainly a possibility, considering his declining chin, I don’t think the chances of it happening are great against Arreola. However, I do like Edwards’ chances of putting the Mexican away in this match-up, and I think he will get back into the win column with a T/KO victory. Though, should he fail to secure the finish, I feel confident he will comfortably earn a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards, likely a 30-27 across the board. Gabe’s Call: Yves Edwards by T/KO (strikes, 2:39 round 2) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Barnatt (-330) parlayed with Edwards (-220) for -112 2.35u to win 2.1u
