Here’s my parlay for Cage Warriors 73: Lightweight title bout: Kurt Warburton (+150) vs Stevie Ray (-190) Gabe’s Thoughts: Ray will be looking to successfully defend his Cage Warriors lightweight title for the second time in this rubber-match against Warburton. He fell short against the Brit in their initial outing in 2013, losing the bout via three round unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards. However, when they last squared off in their last outing, it was Ray who picked up the nod from the judges after five rounds of action, defeating Warburton via split decision to keep his belt. I think Ray will again find success this time around, and feel he will get the better of Warburton over the course of five rounds to pick up the nod from the judges’, though this time I think it was be unanimous. Ray is the younger fighter of the two, and in my opinion is the better fighter at this point in their careers. I think he has been showing more improvements than Warburton, so while both fighters may look better than they did in their last outings, I expect Ray to be more improved and refined than Warburton. Gabe’s Call: Ray by Unanimous Decision (49-46, 48-47, 49-46) Flyweight bout: Brett Caswell (+220) vs Marcin Lasota (-300) Gabe’s Thoughts: Simply put, Lasota is the superior mixed martial artist heading into this match-up, and I feel he will make quick work of Caswell, adding him to his highlight reel en route to getting a call from Sean Shelby asking him to join the UFC’s 125-pound division. Gabe’s Call: Lasota by Submission (armbar, 1:48 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Ray (-190) parlayed with Lasota (-300) for +103 4.3u to win 4.45u
