MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with World Serise of Fighting 14 featherweight Chris Horodecki as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout against Luis Huete this Saturday (October 11, 2014) at the Edmonton Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The former WEC and Bellator standout will be looking for a fresh start with a new promotion and he feels he still has plenty left to give in this sport at just 27 years old:
“After I fought [Mike] Richman in Bellator, I knew I couldn’t do this on my own. Eric O’Keefe, one of the assistant coaches here [at Tristar], I had known these guys for a long time. I started my career in Montreal. I had my first four fights in Quebec. They knew me and he saw after I fought, I’d lost and I said if I needed a place to train during the transition phase in the year after Shawn [Tompkins] passed, the door was open. I came down there with Chad Laprise and I liked the fit. It’s definitely what I need to do to keep progressing.”
