MFC 41’s Mark Pavelich: ‘I don’t love this business the same way I did 15 years ago’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Maximum Fighting Championship President Mark Pavelich as he prepares for his upcoming event on AXS TV tonight (October 3, 2014) at the Shaw Conference Center in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The brash promoter had to deal with a wide assortment of injuries among other problems for tonight’s event, and the process of coming up with solutions made him jaded towards the whole industry:

“It’s kind of comical because I’m never in this situation. But when I was in the situation, I think people enjoyed it and that’s what stirred me up even more. They wanted to take advantage of the situation because I hadn’t been in this situation in 15 years and that kind of stuff really puts a real crap taste in my mouth when it comes down to it because I go out of my way to help other agents when they needed help with things. It was really interesting to see when the switch got flipped on me, it was a real six days of having to say to myself, ‘Do I love this business the same way I did 15 years ago?’ And after this show, I can’t say I do.”
