MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 126 bantamweight Mike Richman as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout against Ed West this Friday night (September 26th, 2014) at the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.
The talented Bellator veteran is making his bantamweight debut tomorrow night, but he’s also riding a two-fight losing streak and he knows the importance of getting a victory, especially with the rate Bellator has been releasing some fighters:
“Absolutely. This is must-win for me, even if it is my first fight at bantamweight. They did let me know. They said, ‘Hey, if you go out there and put on a great performance, you’re already in the mix to go out there and go after a title.’ So they expect big things of me dropping to bantamweight. I’ve been training my ass off for this. I feel explosive and fast. I feel cliché the best I’ve ever been. I’m just very excited to go out there. It’s going to be a flashy, exciting fight. He likes to strike. I like to strike. I know my talent level. I know I’m skilled and it’s all about going out there and executing.”
