UFC Fight Night 51’s Russell Doane: ‘You can’t exactly stand in front of this guy’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 51 bantamweight Russell Doane as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout against Iuri Alcantara tonight (September 13th, 2014) at the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia, Brazil.

The Hawaiian is heading into serious hostile territory for the biggest fight of his burgeoning career, and he knows exactly what to avoid come fight time against Alcantara:

“I know his stand-up is super good. He’s humongous. Good Muay Thai. He’s a little wild so I see myself being a little bit faster on the feet. The ground? Of course you want to mix it up on the ground too. You can’t exactly stand in front of this guy, that’s for sure. He’s a jiu-jitsu black belt just like the other Brazilians.”
