UFC Fight Night 50’s Matt Mitrione: ‘Derrick Lewis is a bigger version of Kimbo’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 50 heavyweight Matt Mitrione as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout against Derrick Lewis this Friday (September 5, 2014) at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut.

The former Ultimate Fighter season 10 standout “In my opinion, Derrick Lewis is a bigger Kimbo. He’s got a lot of hype behind him for having only two fights in the UFC. He’s got 11 wins, 10 by knockout or TKO and his only two losses have been by decision. I’ve seen the way he fights. I know what he does and how he does it. We know he’s kind of a bull in a china shop. He’ll try to push you around, get you to the ground, but I think anybody that’s seen me fight would agree that my biggest weakness is my takedown defense against the cage. I know where they’re going to attack me. My game is long and aggressive and it’s up to me to make sure that I deliver a whole lot more than what I receive.”
