Bellator 123 Date: September 5, 2014 Arena: Mohegan Sun Casino City: Uncasville, CT Bellator Fighting Championships returns Friday night from the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut for Bellator 123. The event will feature a four-fight main card that will be headlined by a five-round featherweight title bout between challenger Patricio “Pitbull” Freire and champion Pat Curran. Main card action will kick off at 8pm ET live on Spike TV. If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any other plays for this fight card, these betting lines will be made available to you at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my two-way parlay for Bellator 123: Heavyweight bout: Bobby Lashley (-750) vs Josh Burns (+450) Gabe’s Thoughts: To put it simply, I think Lashley is going to dominate this fight and earn a stoppage, and I feel like it is going to come early. I would not blame anybody for parlaying him at -750 but I am not currently in the mood to take that kind of juicy risk on a heavyweight not named Cain Velasquez. However, the under 1.5 rounds at -160 is a line I see a ton of value in, as I don’t see this fight making it that long. Gabe’s Call: Lashley by T/KO (strikes, 0:17 round 1) Light Heavyweight bout: Dustin Jacoby (+400) vs Mohammed “King Mo” Lawal (-600) Gabe’s Thoughts: I feel like Jacoby may be able to win a round and possibly hurt “King Mo” in the process, but I think Mo will be able to do enough to win at least two out of three rounds on the judges’ scorecards to pick up a unanimous decision victory. I think his wrestling will be the difference in this bout. I don’t know if he will be able to dominate Jacoby on the mat, but I think he can stick on him long enough to win rounds, even if Jacoby keeps finding his way back to his feet. I think Lawal’s game-plan heading into this bout will be to pressure the UFC veteran against the cage, score his takedowns and get in some ground and pound. At -600, I don’t see any value in Lawal, as I think he should be -300. That does not mean I am going make a play on Jacoby, even though I see some value in him at +400. What I am going to do is play it safe and take the over 2.5 rounds, as it is the play I see most value in. I think the over 2.5, just like Lawal, should be -300, so at the current betting line of -150, I love it as the second leg for my two-way parlay for Bellator 123. Gabe’s Call: “King Mo” by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Lashley/Burns Under 1.5 rounds (-160) parlayed with Jacoby/Lawal Over 2.5 rounds (-150) for +170 1.7u to win 2.9u
