MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Titan Fighting Championship 29 welterweight Micah Miller as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout against Bristol Marunde this Friday (August 22, 2014) at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
The veteran grappler is moving up a weight class to take this fight. Despite his youth, he’s been competing for a long time and he’s come to learn that less is sometimes more:
“I’ve been doing this since I was 18. I’m 27 now, I’m not very old but I feel like I’ve been doing this for so long and going so hard for so long that you kind of need to step off the gas a little bit. This pace isn’t sustainable for what I want to do. I want to keep going into my late 30’s and you can’t do that. No one ever tells you that when you’re 19 and even if they did tell you that, you wouldn’t listen. (laughs)”
