MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 47 light heavyweight Ovince St. Preux as he prepares for his upcoming headlining bout against Ryan Bader this Saturday (August 16, 2014) at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine.
The talented Tennessee native has been on a solid run in the UFC thus far, but he knows he’ll have to turn it up a notch against the battle-tested Bader:
“Ryan [Bader] comes from a wrestling background. He’s very aggressive, aggressive with takedowns, and I guarantee he’ll try to find a way to get me to the canvas. A lot of times, the stand-up action is better. If we stand-up long, he can get in trouble, but at the same time, I’m pretty good at using my distance when I need to use it. I definitely have the reach advantage over him and I know he’ll be watching out for anything I throw with my left side. He got a better idea of who he’s fighting just because I fought his teammate. It should definitely work out in my favor.”
