MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with World Series of Fighting 12 middleweight Elvis Mutapcic as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout against Kelvin Tiller this Saturday (August 9, 2014) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The talented knockout artist knows this fight will come down to who imposes their gameplan better, and he’s coming into this fight smarter than his last bout against Jesse Taylor:
“I ended up walking into the cage at over 210 pounds. I was huge and I looked like I was out of shape. I looked bloated and my body just took on too much weight. I concentrated too much on power instead of speed and it took some of my athleticism away. It was a hard cut. I cut 28 pounds in four days. It was a lot of small mistakes I made training for that fight and I might have underestimated him being able to hold me down the way he did. I should have had more urgency on the feet. I could have tried harder to stay on the feet, fought it off better. I slimmed down, dropped some muscle and went back to some of the basic things I did before that worked for me and I plan on carrying it into this fight.”
