MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 122 welterweight Adam McDonough as he prepares for his tournament final bout Friday night (July 25, 2014) against Andrey Koreshkov at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California.
The unbeaten Minnesotan won’t be intimidated by his dangerous upcoming opponent, because he knows it’ll play right into the Russian’s aggressive gameplan:
“You can’t fight Koreshkov scared. In his last fight, the guy just backed up to the cage, let [Koreshkov] tee off on him and find his rhythm. I just need to mix it up a lot and wherever it goes, it’ll go. He’s an aggressive fighter to begin with and he’s an aggressive starter. I’ll get a good warm-up in. I’ll be ready for him come the bell. I’m just excited for it. He’s a world class talent and I’ve got nothing but respect for him, but he’s standing in my way for that title shot.”
