MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Legacy FC 33 lightweight Damon Jackson as he prepares for his co-main event bout tonight (July 18, 2014) against Marty Usman at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas.
The veteran is competing in his third major organization, and while he’s facing a talented up-and-comer, he feels like he’s done his homework against his opponent:
“I’ve just got to play my game. I think he’s still pretty much fairly new. He’s an up and comer of course. He’s fairly aggressive. He’s tall, he’s long, but he hasn’t fought many guys that can actually hit him back yet. Eventually, he’s gonna throw some strikes and he’s gonna shoot. I watched a couple of his fights and I thought the guys left openings but he took it to the ground.”
