WSOF 11 took place today from Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, and the card overall was a very exciting way for the promotion to get their start on NBC. Overall, all four betting favorites cashed out. Here’s a betting recap for WSOF 11 based on the closing results at Several Bookmakers. WSOF Betting Favorites That Won In the main event of the evening, Justin Gaethje defeated Nick Newell via second-round TKO (punch). Gaethje’s striking looked absolutely sensational as he was able to keep the fight on the feet and batter Newell en route to a second-round mercy stoppage, even though Newell showed the heart of a lion in the fight and never wanted to quit. Gaethje closed as a -355 betting favorite (bet $355 to win $100), while Newell closed as a +320 underdog (bet $100 to win $320). In a middleweight bout, Jon Fitch defeated Dennis Hallman via unanimous decision (30-27 x 3). Fitch took Hallman down at will in all three rounds and landed some nice ground and pound to pick up another victory under the WSOF banner. He cashed as a -345 favorite while Hallman closed as a +315 dog. In a catchweight bout, Cody Bollinger defeated Pablo Alfonso via first-round submission (rear-naked choke). Bollinger was much bigger than Alfonso and was able to take his opponent down easily and grab a submission after showing off some nifty ground work. He cashed as a -165 favorite while Alfonso was a +155 dog. In a catchweight bout, Melvin Guillard defeated JZ Cavalcante via second-round TKO (strikes). Guillard looked deadly with his striking as he picked up the first win of his WSOF tenure. He cashed as a -145 favorite while Cavalcante lost as a +135 dog.
