TUF 19 Finale Date: July 6, 2014 Arena: Mandalay Bay Events Center City: Las Vegas, NV The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale will be live from Las Vegas this Sunday night at 9pm ET on FOX Sports 1, with a five fight main card to be headlined by a five round featherweight contest between Frankie “The Answer” Edgar and “The Prodigy” BJ Penn. If interested in making this parlay, or wagering on any fights or props for this fight card, you may do so at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my three–way parlay for the TUF 19 Finale… Flyweight bout: Dustin Ortiz (+270) vs Justin Scoggins (-330) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Scoggins is going to continue to roll here, dominating Ortiz as he has done his previous two opponents Richie Vaculik and Will Campuzano, respectively. I expect him to use a combination of striking and grappling to defeat the Duke Roufus-trained fighter via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards. I think he is the superior fighter in every regard and believe we will be seeing him fight for the title either this time next year, or late 2015. Gabe’s Call: Scoggins by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Lightweight bout: Jesse Ronson (+175) vs Kevin Lee (-210) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Lee is the superior mixed martial artist in this lightweight contest and will mix it up en route to winning every round on all three judges’ scorecards for his first taste of victory inside the Octagon. Unfortunately for Ronson, unless he puts up a ‘Fight of the Night’ worthy performance, he will likely be seeing the unemployment line. I expect this fight to remain competitive on the feet, with Lee getting the better of Ronson in the grappling. I am a fan of both of these fighters, but believe Lee actually belongs in the UFC, while Ronson probably needs take a few fights on the regional circuit and focus on improving his all-around game. Aside from a robbery decision which is always a possibility, especially in recent weeks, I think Ronson’s only shot at a win here is a T/KO and I believe Lee is too tough, too durable and has too much heart to be stopped by a lesser mixed martial artist in Ronson. Gabe’s Call: Lee by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Light heavyweight bout: Keith Berish (+550) vs Robert Drysdale (-800) Gabe’s Thoughts: Berish is a grappler who is facing arguably the best light heavyweight grappler in all of mixed martial arts in world-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and coach Robert Drysdale. He has trained many UFC competitors and now it is his time to shine on the world’s biggest stage, which I believe he will. Outside of a lucky knockout or a disqualification, I don’t see how Berish pulls out a win in this match-up. I expect this fight to hit the mat very early and for Drysdale to earn a submission within two minutes of action, possibly in under a minute. Gabe’s Call: Drysdale by Submission (armbar, 0:44 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Scoggins (-330) parlayed with Lee (-210) and Drysdale (-800) for +116 4.9u to win 5.7u
