Gabe Killian’s Prop Plays for UFC Fight Night 43 in New Zealand

Nate MarquardtUFC Fight Night 43 Date: June 28, 2014 Arena: Vector Arena City: Auckland, New Zealand UFC Fight Night 43 will be live from New Zealand for the first time in the promotion’s history with a 10-fight card, including a four-fight main card that will stream live on UFC Fight Pass at 5am ET. If interested in wagering on the props suggested in this article, or any other props or wagers for this card, you may do so at Several Bookmakerss. My prop plays for UFC Fight Night 43 in New Zealand are: Middleweight bout: James Te Huna (-200) vs Nate Marquardt (+185) Marquadt by Submission (+400) 1u to win 4u Marquardt ITD (+284) 1u to win 2.84 Fight Doesn’t Go to Decision (-300) 3u to win 1u I think Marquardt’s chances of finishing this fight are pretty good, especially via submission. Should the fight hit the mat, I really favor him to find the tap over Te Huna. For a full write-up on this bout, I refer you to my fight article. Heavyweight bout: Jared Rosholt (-150) vs Soa Palelei (+140) Rosholt by Decision (+386) 1u to win 3.86u Rosholt is the best wrestler Palelei has yet to face in his professional mixed martial arts career, and I feel he is going to come up short against the former Oklahoma State wrestler in Rosholt. I like Rosholt’s chances of taking Palelei down and grinding him out en route to a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. For my full write up on this heavyweight scrap, please check out my fight article. Welterweight bout: Mike Rhodes (+235) vs Robert Whittaker (-255) Rhodes by Decision (+370) 1u to win 3.7u Fight Goes to Decision (-140) 1.4u to win 1u I think Rhodes is being overlooked and undervalued in this match-up. While Whittaker is a tough and talented welterweight, I feel Rhodes is the superior mixed martial artist and should be able to take all three rounds on the judges’ scorecards in Whittaker’s native New Zealand. I refer you to my fight article for this bout, if interested in reading my full write-up on it. Light heavyweight bout: Gian Villante (-290) vs Sean O’Connell (+260) Villante Inside the Distance (+112) 1u to win 1.12u Villante -3.5 (-150) 1.5u to win 1u Simply put, I think Villante is going to prove to be too big and too strong for O’Connell, ultimately stopping him either via strikes or a choke of some sort.
