Legacy FC 31 Date: June 13, 2014 Arena: Arena Theatre City: Houston, TX Legacy Fighting Championship returns tonight (Friday, June 13th, 2014) with Legacy FC 31. The six-fight main card will kick off at 10pm ET on AXS. If interested in making this parlay, you may do so at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my parlay for Legacy FC 31… Middleweight title bout: William “Bubba” Bush (-505) vs Alfonso Gonzales (+335) Gabe’s Thoughts: “Bubba” is now on a three fight winning streak and will be looking to make his second Legacy FC middleweight title defense in this bout. He defeated Larry Crowe via second round TKO to earn the inaugural title, and defended it against Rakim Cleaveland, winning via rear naked choke in the second round of action. Bush is a talented prospect in the Texas MMA circuit. He is a wrestler who is improving his submission game, as well as his striking. Submission defense would be his main weakness, but I believe he has been working on that aspect of his game. Bubba has two losses on his record; one was a DQ due to illegal strikes vs Artenas Young, the other came in his first shot at the Legacy FC Middleweight title, and it was against current UFC middleweight Andrew Craig. He lost by 4th round TKO. Gonzales will be getting a title shot in his promotional debut, coming to the promotion with an undefeated record of 5-0. He is a talented middleweight who packs some serious power, but this is going to be a major step up in competition for him, and I feel he is going to come up short. Gabe’s Call: “Bubba” by Submission (rear naked choke, 3:52, round 4) Flyweight bout: Damacio Page (-265) vs Elias Garcia (+185) Gabe’s Thoughts: UFC veteran Damacio Page will be making his debut at 125-pounds in this bout and will be looking to get his third victory since being released by the UFC, after dropping four straight under the Zuffa banner. He will be taking on Garcia, who is coming off the first loss of his professional Mixed Martial Arts career, coming against Olympic wrestler Henry Cejudo at Legacy FC 27 five months ago. I think Garcia may have a future at 125-pounds, but the five-fight veteran is taking on a big task very early in his career. I think Page will be too much for him. I feel Page will use his size to outwrestle Garcia and grind him out, either towards a finish or en route to a unanimous decision nod from the judges. Gabe’s Call: Page by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Bubba (-505) and Page (-265) for -154 2u to win 1.3u
