MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 42 flyweight Scott Jorgensen as he prepares for his preliinary card bout tonight (June 7, 2014) against Danny Martinez at the Tingley Colliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The former WEC bantamweight title challenger is currently experiencing a rough patch, but he hopes he’ll be able to convincingly turn it around against Martinez:
“Honestly, watching Danny, he’s a wrestler. He’s a hard-nosed kid, but a couple things I noticed is he gets tired. He relies on his wrestling more than technical boxing and those are his big threats. That’s it. Those are two things that I’m very good at and when it comes down to it, I feel like I’m a much better striker than him or a lot of guys in the division. I feel like I got shorted on my last fight. We’re hoping this time around, we walk through him, impose our will and stay away from headbutts.”
