Gabe Killian’s Plays for Bellator 121

sokoudjou1Bellator 121 Date: June 6, 2014 Arena: WinStar World Casino City: Thackerville, OK Bellator 121 will be live on Spike TV tonight at 9pm ET with a four-fight main card, with a seven-fight preliminary card to precede it on the Bellator website. If interested in wagering on this card, these lines will be made available to you at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my plays for the card… Light heavyweight: bout: Eric Prindle (+130) vs James Thompson (-140) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think there is a good chance this fight goes over 1.5 rounds and would not be surprised if it hits the judges’ scorecards. I could see either fighter picking up a decision, but I feel there is incredible value with Prindle doing so at +815. Gabe’s Call: Prindle by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Plays: Over 1.5 rounds (+115) 2u to win 2.3u and Prindle by Decision (+815) 1u to win 8.15u Light heavyweight bout: Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (-290) vs Terry Davinney (+260) Gabe’s Thoughts: Simply put, I think Sokoudjou is going to run through Davinney, likely scoring a highlight-reel finish. Outside of catching him with something incredibly lucky, I don’t give Davinney much of a chance against the veteran. I could certainly end up eating my own words, as Sokoudjou is by no means impossible to beat. I just don’t see it happening in this bout. Gabe’s Call: Sokoudjou by KO (knees, 2:34, round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Sokoudjou (-290) 2.9u to win 1u Light heavyweight bout: Austin Heidlage (+280) vs Philipe Lins (-310) Gabe’s Thoughts: I favor Lins to win this fight, but think the fight will be much closer than the odds suggest, so at +280, I feel the value is with Heidlage. I am by no means afraid to take a small stab on an undefeated prospect at +280. Win or lose, I can live this this play. The problem will be kicking myself for not going bigger on it when it hits. Gabe’s Call: Lins by Unanimous Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Heidlage (+280) .25u to win .7u Light heavyweight bout: Carlos Eduardo (-205) vs Egidijus Valavicius (+188) Gabe’s Thoughts: I like Valavicius’ chances of upsetting the Brazilian in his second Bellator appearance, and likely scoring his second consecutive finish in the Bellator cage. I think this fight is a toss-up, and with Valavicius at dog odds of +188, I feel that is where the value sides and is the right side for a play. Gabe’s Call: Valavicius by TKO (punches, 2:23 round 2) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Valavicius (+188) 1u to win 1.88u Light heavyweight bout: Kelly Anundson (+145) vs Rodney Wallace (-155) Gabe’s Thoughts: To put it simply, I think Anundson is going to use his wrestling to grind out a decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. I don’t know if it will be mostly one-sided or if it will be a very close fight, but I think Anundson will be able to grind this one out. I think he should be a -170 favorite, so I love him for a play at +145. Gabe’s Call: Anundson by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Anundson (+145) 4u to win 5.8u
