With UFC 173 and Bellator 120 taking place the last twoweeks, the MMAOddsBreaker rankings were bound to get shook up. MMA Oddsbreaker’s Brian Hemminger (@BrianHemminger) and Jason Nawara (@JasonNawara) have taken over the reigns of the rankings, which are updated just about after every UFC event. As always, we only show changes in the rankings with this update. To access the full MMAOddsBreaker rankings, click here. Disagree? Feel free to give us your take on our rankings either in the comment section here or on Twitter! Pound-for-Pound 1. Jon Jones 2. Jose Aldo 3. Demetrious Johnson (+1) 4. Cain Velasquez (+1) 5. Chris Weidman (+3) 6. Anthony Pettis (+1) 7. Daniel Cormier (+2) 8. Johny Hendricks (+2) 9. Vitor Belfort (-3) 10. Lyoto Machida (+2) 11. Ronda Rousey 12. TJ Dillashaw (NR) 13. Gilbert Melendez 14. Renan Barao (-11) 15. Benson Henderson (-1) Obviously there are some huge changes to this one with former #3 ranked Renan Barao getting crushed by TJ Dillashaw this past weekend. Dillashaw makes his debut in the pound for pound rankings due to winning the title as well. Also of note, Vitor Belfort takes a hit due to inactivity and overall drug test failure rumors. Daniel Cormier makes a leap as well with his dominant performance againt Dan Henderson. Light Heavyweight 1. Jon Jones 2. Daniel Cormier 3. Alexander Gustafsson 4. Rashad Evans 5. Glover Texeira 6. Anthony Johnson 7. Phil Davis (+1) 8. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (+1) 9. Emanuel Newton (+1) 10. Dan Henderson (-3) 11. Chael Sonnen 12. Mauricio Rua 13. Ryan Bader 14. Rafael Cavalcante 15. Quinton Jackson Nothing crazy here since we already had Daniel Cormier as the number two ranked light heavyweight, but Dan Henderson does take a hit with his one-sided shellacking at the hands of DC this past Saturday night. Middleweight 1. Chris Weidman 2. Lyoto Machida 3. Anderson Silva (+1) 4. Vitor Belfort (-1) 5. Jacare Souza 6. Luke Rockhold 7. Tim Kennedy 8. Yoel Romero 9. Michael Bisping 10. Gegard Mousasi 11. Mark Munoz (+1) 12. Francis Carmont (+1) 13. Yushin Okami (+1) 14. Costa Philippou (+1) 15. Thales Leites (NR) The only major change is the removal of Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko from our rankings due to his poor performance against Tito Ortiz, getting finished by the aging former UFC champion on the Bellator pay-per-view last weekend. Welterweight 1. Johny Hendricks 2. Robbie Lawler 3. Tyron Woodley (+1) 4. Matt Brown (-1) 5. Carlos Condit 6. Rory MacDonald 7. Dong Hyun Kim (+1) 8. Ben Askren (+1) 9. Hector Lombard (+1) 10. Tarec Saffiedine (+1) 11. Jake Shields (+1) 12. Jake Ellenberger (-5) 13. Demian Maia 14. Douglas Lima 15. Rousimar Palhares The only significant change was Jake Ellenberger, who dropped five places after a very poor showing against Robbie Lawler on the UFC 173 main card, making it two straight defeats for the former top contender. Lightweight 1. Anthony Pettis 2. Gilbert Melendez 3. Ben Henderson 4. Khabib Nurmagomedov 5. TJ Grant 6. Josh Thomson 7. Eddie Alvarez 8. Nate Diaz (+2) 9. Donald Cerrone 10. Rafael dos Anjos (+1) 11. Justin Gaethje (+1) 12. Jim Miller (+1) 13. Myles Jury (+1) 14. Michael Chandler (-6) 15. Bobby Green While Michael Chandler’s last two fights have been incredibly close and controversial, he still lost them. He takes a big dive in the rankings after losing his interim lightweight title fight against Will Brooks a week ago and will need to step up his game if he wants to stay in the top 15 at all. Bantamweight 1. TJ Dillashaw (+6) 2. Renan Barao (-1) 3. Rafael Assuncao (-1) 4. Urijah Faber (-1) 5. Michael McDonald (-1) 6. Marlon Moraes (-1) 7. Takeya Mizugaki (+2) 8. Eduardo Dantas (-2) 9. Johnny Eduardo (-1) 10. Bibiano Fernandes 11. Eddie Wineland 12. Iuri Alcantara (+1) 13. Francisco Rivera (-1) 14. Alex Caceres 15. Erik Perez TJ Dillashaw is the biggest mover and shaker of course, but also taking a leap is Takeya Mizugaki, who scored a solid victory over previously #12-ranked Francisco Rivera on the UFC 173 main card this past weekend. Rivera also drops a spot for taking the unanimous decision loss.
