Here is my three –way parlay for the TUF: Brazil 3 finale… Heavyweight bout: Fabio Maldonado (+400) vs Stipe Miocic (-500) Gabe’s Prediction: Miocic is going to use his superior wrestling to dominate the Brazilian. Miocic is not much of a finisher and Maldonado is tough to finish, so I see this fight going all five rounds and Maldonado just being happy that he went five rounds in a UFC main event. Miocic can still pick up an easy win if he chooses to strike with Maldonado, but his wrestling is just worlds better, so if he’s smart, he will exploit that hole in the Brazilian’s game. Gabe’s Call: Miocic by Unanimous Decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) Lightweight bout: Rashid Magomedov (-300) vs Rodrigo Damm (-250) Gabe’s Prediction: Magomedov really impressed me in his Octagon debut with his come-from-behind victory over Tony Martin at UFC 169 over three months ago. He looks incredible as a lightweight and I am big on this guy. He is a former welterweight taking on a former featherweight, so he will have the size advantage heading into this bout. I believe he is, in general, the superior mixed martial artist and the tougher fighter. If he doesn’t earn a stoppage over the Brazilian, I think he will manage to win all three rounds on the judges’ scorecards. Gabe’s Call: Magomedov by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Lightweight bout: Elias Silverio (-450) vs Ernest Chavez (+360) Gabe’s Prediction: I think their grappling will cancel each other out and this fight will play out on the feet, where Silverio will hold the advantage. Chavez will be the one trying to take the fight to the mat and holding the Brazilian up against the cage, but I think Silverio will defend Chavez’s takedowns and use his Muay Thai to outpoint him on the feet to pick up another decision victory inside the Octagon. Chavez is hard to put away, so I think this fight will likely hit the judges’ scorecards, though it would not surprise me to see a finish. Gabe’s Call: Silverio by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Miocic (-500) parlayed with Magomedov (-300) and Silverio (-450) for -105 3.35u to win 3.2u
