MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with MFC 40 bantamweight Kevin Croom as he prepares for his main card bout this Friday (May 9, 2014) against Jesse Brock at the Shaw Convention Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The long-time veteran is riding a lengthy winning streak, and it’s all because of his change in mindset on not turning down fights during a hectic 2013:
“I found all these fights on my own. I found all my sponsors and I work, man. If I’m not working, I get in trouble. That’s the truth. I’ve been fighting for eight years and I got tired of no one knowing who I was, not getting the opportunities that I felt I deserved. I made the decision of, ‘Screw this, I’m gonna take every fight I’m offered, I’m gonna beat everybody and everybody’s gonna know my name. Now it’s 2014 and people are talking about me being in the UFC. I’m about to fight for the third biggest show’s title. They found me. It’s about time, man.”
