Bellator 117’s Douglas Lima: ‘I’ve got more power than Rick Hawn’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 117 welterweight Douglas Lima as he prepares for his main event title bout tonight (April 18, 2014) against Rick Hawn at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

The talented American Top Team fighter is competing for the Bellator welterweight title for the second time and he believes his size and power advantage will be the biggest factor:

“I’ve got more reach than him, and I also feel like I’ve got more power. So I think if I connect, it’s gonna be good for me. I don’t think he’ll try to strike the whole time. I think he’ll try to clinch up, get me tired. That’s the type of gameplan they usually play over there. We’ll see.”
