Cage Warriors Fight Night 10 is live today from Amman, Jordan starting at 2pm ET. Here are my plays for the card… Marat Pekov (-140) vs John Cullen (+100) Gabe’s Prediction: I think Pekov is going to get the better of Cullen on the feet and outstrike him for a clear cut unanimous decision. I won’t be surprised to see him get the finish, but I think Cullen is going to make it to the distance. I think Pekov is being undervalued at -140, and think getting him at anything under -200 is a steal. Gabe’s Call: Marat Pekov by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Marat Pekov (-140) 3.5u to win 3u Malik Merad (+205) vs Mohamed Ali (-285) Gabe’s Prediction: Merad is a bit of a journeyman on the European regional circuit, and is currently enjoying a four fight winning streak. I think he is being undervalued in this spot, especially considering he has more fights under his belt than Ali, not to mention the tools to beat him. I could see Ali winning this bout via TKO, but if the fight were to go the distance, which I favor it to do, I don’t see him getting the nod. Over the course of three rounds, I think Merad is capable of winning at least two of them. I think the outcome of this bout will be Merad by 29-28 decision or– Gabe’s Call: Malik Merad by Submission (armbar, 1:42 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Malik Merad (+205) 1u to win 2.05u Allan “No” Love (+180) vs Norman Paraisy (-260) Gabe’s Prediction: Paraisy is likely gonna go out there and try to grind out another decision, but I think Love is gonna put up a real good fight. If it hits the scorecards, I could see Love taking it, but I think he is going to stop Paraisy in this fight. Gabe’s Call: Allan “No” Love by TKO (knees and punches, 2:49 round 3) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Allan Love (+180) 1u to win 1.8u Paul Marin (+140) vs Marcin Lasota (-180) Gabe’s Prediction: I think this is going to be the best fight on this Cage Warriors fight card. Both of these guys are very talented and show display solid skills on the feet, so I think it is going to make for a fun fight on the feet. They are well-rounded, so I could see some grappling exchanges. I think Marin would be the one initiating the takedowns, since I could see Lasota edging him on the feet technically. If there were a knockout in this bout, I would say it is Marin who puts Lasota away, but a technical striking battle over the course of 15 minutes? Lasota takes it more often than not. I see promise in both of these guys and the odds are so tight that I don’t see enough value on either side to recommend more than a very minor play. That said, I do think Lasota gets his hand raised. Gabe’s Call: Marcin Lasota by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Marcin Lasota (-180) .9u to win .5u
