Glory Kickboxing returns to Spike TV this Saturday as the organization heads to Zagreb, Croatia for some local flavor as well as a lightweight title bout and a middleweight tournament. “Local flavor” may be understating it a bit, as Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ is a hero in Croatia and makes Zagreb his home. ‘Cro Cop’ takes on Remy Bonjasky in the main event of the evening. The bout is a rematch of one of the Croatian’s final kickboxing bouts before making the transition to MMA. Since returning to kickboxing in 2012, ‘Cro Cop’ has gone 6-0, including a surprising victory in the K-1 2012 World Grand Prix. Bonjasky hasn’t had nearly the same type of success of late, dropping his last three bouts and only going 2-3 since coming back from a three year hiatus from competition. The co-main event features possibly the hottest fighter in kickboxing right now, Andy Ristie, who takes on Davit Kiria for the Glory lightweight title. Ristie is coming off of one of the most impressive nights in recent memory, knocking out Giorgio Petrosyan and Robin van Roosmalen in succession. Kiria is ranked below both of those fighters, but still one of the best in the world, so it will be interesting to see how he fares against the current incarnation of Ristie. Also on the main card is a Glory middleweight tournament to determine an entrant into the world championship tournament, featuring Sahak Parparyan, Jason Wilnis, Alex Pereira and Dustin Jacoby. Today MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting lines for all of the Glory 14 main card bouts at Several Bookmakers.
