For today’s MMA Odds and Ends, I’ve looked through all the prop bets offered on Several Bookmakers for this past Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night 36 card, and I’ve selected five of which cashed out big — that is, if you were lucky enough to have to foresight to bet on them. Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza wins by three-round decision (+311) In the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 36, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza was able to outlast Francis Carmont and win a three-round decision. Most figured Souza would get the stoppage, so the prop bet on him to win by decision was undervalued at +311. Congrats if that was your predicted method of victory for the Brazilian star, who cemented his place as one of the top-five middleweights on the planet. Nico Musoke wins by three-round decision (+311) In a welterweight bout on the main card, Nico Musoke picked up his second-straight win in the Octagon with a unanimous decision nod over Viscardi Andrade. Although Musoke was hurt early on, he was able to eventually rally and win the last two rounds cleanly for the decision. It was a solid overall performance by Musoke, and the prop bet on him winning by decision hit at +311. Charles Oliveira wins in round three (+650) In the opening main card bout, Charles Oliveira was able to submit Andy Ogle in the third round. Ogle was tough for the first two rounds but ultimately Oliveira’s BJJ proved far superior and he won via submission to pick up his fifth career victory in the Octagon. The prop bet on Oliveira in round three hit at +650, so nice job if you hit that one. Francisco Trinaldo wins by three-round decision (+425) In a lightweight bout that took place on the prelims, Francisco Trinaldo defeated Jesse Ronson via split decision. Most figured that if Trinaldo couldn’t finish early that he would lose the decision on the judges’ cards, but he did enough to get two of the three judges’ nods and won on points. The prop bet on Trinaldo via three-round decision hit at +425, so nice job if you nailed that one. Ildemar Alcantara wins by three-round decision (+460) In a preliminary welterweight bout, Ildemar Alcantara won a split decision over Albert Tumenov. It was a very close fight and I personally scored it 29-28 for Tumenov, but at the end of the day the judges in Brazil gave it to Alcantara and anyone who bet on his decision prop at +460 made out like a bandit.
