Erick Silva UFC Fight Night 36 took place tonight in Brazil and the card overall was one of the most forgettable in UFC history, chock full of boring fights and uneventful decisions. Overall, seven favorites won while three underdogs cashed and two fights closed as Pick ’ems. Here’s a betting recap of UFC Fight Night 36 based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers: UFC Fight Night 36 Betting Favorites That Won In the main event of the evening, Lyoto Machida defeated Gegard Mousasi via decision. Machida outstruck and outwrestled Mousasi over the course of five rounds to win as a -225 favorite (bet $225 to win $100), while Mousasi lost as a +205 dog (bet $100 to win $205). In the co-main event of the evening, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza defeated Francis Carmont via unanimous decision. Souza had Carmont’s back in round one and three and did enough to earn the nod as a -475 favorite, while Carmont lost as a +420 dog. In a welterweight bout, Erick Silva defeated Takenori Sato via first-round TKO (punches). Silva got an early finish with some very hard punches to cash as a -1100 fav, while +900 dog Sato never had a chance. In a featherweight bout, Charles Oliveira defeated Andy Ogle via third-round submission (triangle choke). Oliveira had Ogle in bad positions throughout the whole fight until finally sinking in a choke late in the third. Oliveira was a -735 fav, while Ogle was a +590 dog. In a lightweight bout, Joe Proctor defeated Cristiano Marcello via unanimous decision. Proctor hurt Marcello and easily won the decision to score as a -240 favorite, while Marcello lost as a +220 dog. In a featherweight bout, Yuri Alcantara defeated Wilson Reis via split decision. Alcantara was the superior striker and won as a -225 favorite, while Reis lost as a +195 dog. In a lightweight bout, Francisco Trinaldo defeated Jesse Ronson via split decision. Trinaldo outstruck and outwrestled Ronson to win as a -155 favorite, while Ronson lost as a +145 dog. UFC Fight Night 36 Betting Underdogs That Won In a welterweight bout, Nico Musoke defeated Viscardi Andrade via unanimous decision. Musoke survived an early knockdown scare to win rounds two and three and improve to 2-0 in the UFC. Musoke was +125, and Andrade was -135. In a lightweight bout, Rodrigo Damm defeated Ivan Jorge via unanimous decision. It was an exceptionally competitive bout and many thought Jorge won, but the judges ultimately gave it to Damm. Damm was +150, Jorge was -160. In a welterweight bout, Ildemar Alcantara defeated Albert Tumenov via split decision. Alcantara controlled more of the fight with his wrestling and jab and got the nod on the judges’ scorecards. Alcantara was +195, while Tumenov was -205. UFC Fight Night 36 Pick ‘Em Fights In a featherweight bout, Felipe Arantes defeated Maximo Blanco via unanimous decision. Arantes proved how underrated he was by surviving a hard low blow by Blanco and taking home the unanimous decision regardless. Arantes was -105, while Blanco was also -105. In a featherweight bout, Zubaira Tukhugov defeated Douglas Silva De Andrade. Tukhugov showed better striking and wrestling and deserved to get the nod. Tukhugov was -105, while De Andrade also was -105.
