UFC on Fox 10’s Daron Cruickshank: ‘Mike Rio isn’t necessarily UFC quality’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC on Fox 10 lightweight Daron Cruickshank as he prepares for his main event bout tomorrow night (Jan. 25, 2013) against Mike Rio at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The former contestant on The Ultimate Fighter season 15 will be squaring off against his former castmate on the show, but he already knows exactly what to expect from Rio come fight night:

“Mike Rio is a one-gun type of guy. He only has a takedown. He’s got a great takedown but I don’t necessarily think he’s that great on top. He’s a fish out of the water on the feet. He’s gonna be looking to obviously put me on my back. That’s the only thing he’s gonna do and he can’t do anything else. Nowadays in the UFC, you can’t just be that one type of guy. You can’t just have one weapon. You gotta have it all. I would say he’s not necessarily UFC quality.”
