MMA Odds and Ends for Wednesday: UFC Fight Night 35 Prop Bets To Consider

Justin Edwards UFC Fight Night 35 takes place tonight, and like every UFC card, there’s an opportunity to make a ton of cash by betting on the fights — especially when it comes to prop bets. For today’s MMA Odds and Ends, I’ve decided to comb through all the props currently listed at Several Bookmakers and I’ve selected five which I believe have betting value and which you should consider for a bet. Luke Rockhold Wins Inside The Distance (+105) The main event of UFC Fight Night 35 features a five-round middleweight bout between top-1o ranked Luke Rockhold and Costas Philippou. It’s a fight that should be fun for as long as it lasts, but I don’t see it going the full 25. I think Rockhold wins this fight by submission, so at +105 I really like the prop bet on him to win ITD, which currently pays +105. It’s rare to see these five-round non-title fights go the full five so this is my strongest prop play on the entire card. Lorenz Larkin Wins By Three-Round Decision (+125) In the co-main event of the evening, Lorenz Larkin takes on Brad Tavares in what should be an absolute barnburner of a fight. I think this one is going to go the full 15, and I think it’s going to be in contention for FOTN when it’s all said and done. Having said that, I think Larkin will be the more effective striker throughout and I think he’ll win via decision. So at +125, I like the prop bet on Larkin to win via three-round decision. Brian Houston Wins Inside The Distance (+165) In a middleweight bout on the prelims, Brian Houston looks to pick up his first UFC win over Trevor Smith. It’s a fight that very unlikely goes the distance as each man possesses finishing ability, and I think Houston is going to be the one finishing the fight. I think Houston wins by KO so at +165, I think there’s enough value on Houston ITD to throw him in a small round robin. Elias Silverio Wins By Three-Round Decision (+145) In a lightweight bout between two fighters coming off of wins, Elias Silverio takes on veteran Isaac Vallie-Flagg. This should be a competitive, fun fight and I see it going the full 15 minutes and being close on the judges’ scorecards. Having said that, I think Silverio will do enough to win and I see him doing so by decision. So at +145, I’m going to pull the trigger on Silverio wins by three-round decision, which pays out at +145. Justin Edwards Wins Inside The Distance (+185) And finally, in a preliminary card lightweight bout, Justin Edwards takes on Ramsey Nijem. It will be Edwards’ first fight at 155 following a brutal TKO loss to Brandon Thatch at welterweight in his last outing, while Nijem is coming off of two-straight losses and badly needs a win to stay in the UFC. This is a close fight on paper but I just see so many flaws in Nijem’s game and I think that Edwards will live up to his “Fast Eddy” nickname and secure either a guillotine choke or a KO from a punch early on in the fight. The prop bet on Edwards to win ITD is +185, and I see enough value in that to throw it in a round robin.
