UFC Fight Night 35’s Cole Miller: ‘My homefield advantage won’t work on Sam Sicilia’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 35 featherweight Cole Miller as he prepares for his main card bout next Wednesday night (Jan. 15, 2013) against Sam Sicilia at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia.

The talented American Top Team veteran is coming off a decision victory over Andy Ogle and he’s hoping to build off that performance by defeating Ogle’s fellow Ultimate Fighter season 15 castmate Sam Sicilia, although he doesn’t believe fighting close to home will factor into the equation:

“I don’t think [fighting close to home] will help against [Sam Sicilia]. He’s an experienced fighter. When you’re fighting experienced fighters, I don’t think it matters as much. This guy has experience fighting twice in Brazil against Brazilians with these people telling him he’s gonna die and stuff like that. He’s been able to rise to the occasion one of the two times and he was doing very well against Rony Jason until he was TKO’d in that bout. Against this fighter in particular, I don’t feel the homefield advantage means anything.”
