UFC Fight Night 34 ‘Fight of the Night’ Betting Props UFC Fight Night 34 is live from the Marina Bay Sands Arena in Marina Bay, Singapore, late tonight/early tomorrow morning, January 4th 2014, with the preliminary action getting underway at 6 am ET, and the main card kicking off at 9 am ET. The entire event will be broadcasted live via UFC Fight Pass, the promotions brand new online digital network. There are ten bouts scheduled to take place, and a number of them have a great chance of producing fireworks. UFC will be handing out a Fight of the Night bonus for the most exciting fight of the night, and if you’re interested in waging on which fight will take home said bonus, you can do so at Several Bookmakerss. I believe the top contenders for this prize are: Saffiedine/Lim +250 — This is the main event, and the main event generally wins the award when it is an exciting fight, which this could end up being. There is a chance that both fighters will have their moments in this fight. Saffiedine is not an incredibly exciting fighter, but against a fighter like Lim, the stylistic clash has a decent chance at producing a fun bout. That said, I don’t believe there is any value at +250 to warrant a wager. This will be Saffiedine’s promotional debut, and Lim’s third appearance inside the Octagon. Lim picked up a Fight of the Night award his last time out against Pascal Krauss, though I personally felt that fight was a one-sided affair that was undeserving of the award, which should have went to Dustin Poirier vs Erik Koch. Soriano/Kawajiri +225 — For me, I think this is a fight to stay away from, as far as betting goes. That said, I do like this prop bet for it, as I see it having a great chance of producing a very exciting match-up. In my eyes, this fight is the frontrunner to take home the award, and odds on it seem to agree. Both of these featherweights are tough as nails, and are going to leave it all in the cage. Even at +225, I think this is worth a play. Holloway/Chope +600 — This is going to be a stand up affair that likely goes the distance. I think there will be a lot of exciting exchanges on the feet, and is a fight I am very much looking forward to seeing. Both of these fighters are going to give it their all, and I they have a good chance at taking home the bonus. This is Chope’s promotional debut, while it is the seventh Octagon appearance for Holloway, who I believe will be in pursuit of the bonus. Galera/Wee +1000 — This should be a fun fight, for however long it lasts. There is a chance it could end up being a striking match-up, as is often the case when pitting two submission specialists against each other. That said, I feel both of these bantamweights will each be looking to secure a submission over the other, so I am expecting fun grappling exchanges on the mat, until somebody finds a tap. Gabe’s FOTN Play: Soriano/Kawajiri (+225) 1u to win 2.25u, Holloway/Chope (+600) .5u to win 3u, and Galera/Wee (+1000) .25u to win 2.5u
