UFC 168’s John Howard: ‘I want to be the first guy to knock Siyar out cold’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 168 welterweight John Howard as he prepares for his main card bout tomorrow night (Dec. 28, 2013) against Siyar Bahadurzada at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The talented Boston native was victorious in his UFC return earlier this year against Uriah Hall, but he knows he has his hands full against the very dangerous Bahadurzada. That’s not going to stop him from wanting to score a big knockout, however:

“I’ve never been technically knocked out either. I do have the one TKO thing but that was a doctor stoppage, I wasn’t put down. I want to test Siyar’s chin. He’s tough, but I want to test it. What I like about Siyar is he’ll trade with you, he’ll let you hit him. I’m gonna give him my best and if he can take it, then so be it. I have plan A, B, C and all the way down the alphabet. We’ll see what happens. I expect to be the first guy to knock him out cold.”
