BAMMA 14’s Colin Fletcher: ‘I’ve never gone into a fight expecting to win’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with BAMMA 14 lightweight Colin Fletcher as he prepares for his main event title fight today (Dec. 14, 2013) against Mansour Barnaoui at LG Arena in Birmingham, England.

The former Ultimate Fighter “Smashes” finalist is gearing up for his second straight fight under the BAMMA banner since receiving his UFC walking papers, and he draws his motivation from an interesting source:

“I’ve never gone into a fight expecting to win. If I was going into a fight and I kind of really expected to win, I’m not sure I could train for that and I’d probably put on a worse show. I’d probably go in there and fight and do my best but you can’t motivate yourself if it’s easy, if you think it’s gonna be a walk in the park. You need that inspiration, thinking he’ll pose you a lot of problems to get you in there, make you wonder and make you train hard.”
