MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas today opened up the remaining betting lines for UFC Fight Night 33 at Several Bookmakers, and in my opinion there are a lot of lines to jump on as far as bets go. Below, I’ll give my thoughts on all the new lines on the board, and what I’m liking for bets so far: Julie Kedzie (-190) vs. Bethe Correia (+150) This fight was actually moved up to the main card a few days ago, but the line just opened today. My initial reaction is that Kedzie is being overvalued here due to her name, and I think that Correia has a very good chance of upsetting her. I will wait for a better line on Correia, but there’s no way I would touch Kedzie in this spot. Takeya Mizugaki (-270) vs. Nam Phan (+190) Strange matchup here as Mizugaki is on a huge roll while Phan has been on a losing streak. I definitely feel like Mizugaki is the right side here, even at -270, but the bet I like even more if OVER 2.5 rounds, which is only -215. Both these guys are very tough and I see this one hitting the cards so I definitely see value there. Nick Ring (-230) vs. Caio Magalhaes (+170) This middleweight bout has “pass” written all over it, in my opinion. I think Ring was a solid fighter at one point, but he is declining rapidly, while Magalhaes just isn’t very good. At these lines, I feel like Magalhaes is the one with the value, and I would consider putting him in a round robin, but that’s about it. This is probably the worst fight on the card, in my opinion. Justin Scoggins (-150) vs. Richie Vaculik (+110) In this flyweight bout, I think Scoggins is going to make short work of Vaculik and show the world that he is a future title contender in the 125-pound division. I really like Scoggins at -150 for a bet here, and I also like a play on UNDER 2.5 rounds, which opened at even money. Bruno Santos (-190) vs. Krzysztof Jotko (+150) This is a tough middleweight bout between two fighters who match up pretty well against one another. I can’t bet on Santos in this spot as I feel he is being overrated coming off a win over Giva Santana in Bellator, but I don’t know enough about Jotko to confidently bet him. The one bet I do like here is OVER 2.5 rounds, which is -185. I see this fight going to the cards more often than not so I definitely see value in that total. Alex Garcia (-380) vs. Ben Wall (+260) And finally, in the first fight on the night on Facebook, Garcia and Wall will clash in a fight I don’t think goes the full three rounds. Based on what I’ve seen, Garcia is an absolute force to be reckoned with, and I really like him in this spot against Wall, who took the fight on short notice. Garcia should win this fight in impressive fashion, and I think he is good parlay material.
